| Supercharger Upgrades start with Boost Upgrade Pulley Kit |
|
|
There are a Range of Upgrades you can apply to your Supercharged Engine to Increase Performance.
Boost Upgrade - Increasing the Boost Pressure (measured in psi) output of the supercharger is the quickest, easiest and fastest way to increase Power and Torque Significantly whilst also increasing throttle response and acceleration. The most common means of increasing the boost output level is by swapping the pulley on the supercharger to a smaller size. Another method is to swap the crank pulley to a larger size. The effects of which spin the supercharger rotors faster thus producing more boost.
In General, Power and Torque Increase by 15-20% depending on the supercharger, engine and the amount of boost applied. By far the best upgrade you can possibly do for your supercharged engine and usually the first modification on your list of things to do.

Other Supercharger Upgrades: Cold Air Intake (CAI) Upgrade - Heat is the enemy of any supercharged engine and performance is dramatically reduced if warm or hot air is ingested into the supercharger. To ensure the coldest air possible is getting directed into the supercharger many choose to install a Cold Air Induction system, commonly abbreviated to CAI.
The purpose of the CAI is to pick up air from Colder Locations that the factory OEM intake system. This is usually achieved by a number of extra intake ducts as well as possibly a different airbox design. Generally CAI systems also improve flow, whether by engineering improvements in box, intake design, MAF ducting size or a combination of all the above. It is also recommended to install a free flowing air filter, like K&N, BMC, Uni-Filter or many others.
